PRINCE GEORGE – Thirty British Columbia Institute of Technology students will gain experience by filming footage from the 2015 Canada Winter Games to be featured in a 30 minute online show, Canada Games TV TODAY, showcasing Prince George to viewers across Canada.

Canada Games TV TODAY, a partnership between the 2015 Canada Winter Games, ViaSport British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology, will air each day online during the 2015 Games, in both of Canada’s official languages, providing viewers across Canada with daily Games highlights.

“We have always believed that the 2015 Canada Games would help us showcase our community and region,” Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond said. “The Canada Games TV TODAY show will do just that and will offer athletes, their families and sports fans alike a chance to see some of the incredible features that make Northern B.C. a fantastic place to live.”

“Technology has made events much more accessible to people, regardless of their location,” Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris said. “Providing coverage of the Games will not only feature the largest multi-sport and cultural event in our country, but will also exhibit our beautiful city and region.”
