MACKENZIE – The District of Mackenzie will benefit from a $1,990 Local Sport Program Development grant provided by the B.C. government.

The District of Mackenzie will use the funding to benefit a number of sport and recreation programs including ball hockey, martial arts, yoga and the Turbo Tots program.

“Sport provides both a fun means of recreation and physical activity and the District of Mackenzie provides our residents with a number of options to participate,” Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris said.

Across BC, 32 programs will share approximately $52,000 in the latest round of Local Sport Program Development Grants, provided by the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development and administered by ViaSport.
