MACKENZIE – Resurfacing Highway 97 between Whiskers Point and Mackenzie junction is set to begin thanks to a $3.5-million contract from the B.C. government.
This project will use hot-in-place recycling to renew the 16-year-old surface on this highway section.
“Resurfacing this stretch of road will increase road safety and make driving a more pleasant experience,” said Mike Morris, MLA for Prince George-Mackenzie.
This project is part of B.C. on the Move, the B.C. government’s 10-year transportation plan to improve the province’s transportation network.
Work is expected to finish in September.
